Beer profile
Dark Patersbier from Browar Sady is a beer inspired by the tradition of Belgian abbeys, where monks brewed light, everyday beers for their own table. Our Patersbier represents the less common darker side of the style, produced in places where darker versions of classic monastic beers prevailed (brewed from the same malts). Its connection to abbey-style Dubbel, but with a distinctly lower alcohol content, makes it exceptionally drinkable and sessionable. It is brewed exclusively with Belgian malts: from the classic Pale Ale, through caramel-rich Special B, Aromatic and Biscuit, to the wheat-based Karrawheat. These give the beer a deep ruby-brown color and notes of wholemeal bread, dried fruit, and delicate caramel. The finishing touch comes from dark candi sugar and Abbey Ale yeast, adding subtle fruitiness and a spicy accent, creating a beer that is light yet rich in character.
